Photographs
A Race Too Far contains 38 archive photographs. They have been personally selected by the author. Some have never been seen before, others only rarely.

Staff at the Sunday Times picture library in Wapping, London, allowed Chris to spend many hours searching through dusty negative envelopes - the hidden collection which lies behind the dozen or so commonly used images.

The photographers at the time generally printed one or two images from each roll of film and then filed the negatives away, usually never to be seen again. It is these rolls that Chris has searched.

Eve Tetley generously opened up her private collection of Nigel's colour photographs.
